Journal Entry # 1
My name is Inara Serra and I was born in the late 25th century on a planet called Sihnon. It's beautiful there, and I miss it often. I am a registered companion. Now if you know what a companion is, you may frown upon it and call me a lowly whore, believe me it would not be the first time, but I promise that there is much more to being a companion than sex. I am proud of who I am, and where I am from it is a very respectable occupation, but here I am on Earth that was. So far in the past...I don't know what to make of it yet. I miss Serenity, and all of it's crew. Except Mal. I hope that in my time here I can learn something about the people who lived before me.
